Ryan’s journey as an actor began in a community college acting class. After receiving glowing feedback from his coach, he realized that he wanted to pursue acting full-time.
“I changed my major that very same day, scheduled an audition, and progressed from there,” Ryan shares. Since then, he has never looked back.
Embracing the Challenges of City Life
One of Ryan’s biggest challenges was adapting to life in the big city after spending most of his life in small towns. “I had NO idea what I was doing,” Ryan admits.
However, he quickly found ways to overcome his fears by reaching out to friends, finding a day job, and growing his network. “The cure for the nervousness was to simply become heavily focused on what I came here to do,” he says.
Unleashing His Unique Energy
One quality that sets Ryan apart from other actors is his energy. “People have told me that I have this energy ‘cooking beneath the surface’ most of that time,” Ryan says.
He believes that this energy is what helps him connect with audiences and bring his characters to life.
Meeting the People Who Could Take His Career to the Next Level
When asked about the top three people he’d like to meet, Ryan mentions Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Joaquin Phoenix, and Quentin Tarantino.
He believes that meeting these industry legends would help him take his career to the next level.
