Kacey’s moment of realizing she was doing what she was born to do came after a performance at the Viper Room in West Hollywood. After finishing her set, she was approached by a tearful audience member who had flown all the way from Australia to see her.
The woman shared that Kacey’s music had helped her work through depression and suicidal thoughts, and the encounter brought Kacey to tears and solidified her calling as a musician.
Overcoming Adversity
Kacey has also had to overcome adversity, including a life-threatening illness that led her to become an advocate for education and destigmatization surrounding C. Diff and eating disorders.
Through her music, she hopes to inspire listeners to find their own voices and overcome their own mental health struggles. After her near-deadly experience, Kacey realized the importance of living life to the fullest and doing what she loves.
