Driven by passion and hard work
Ethan’s passion for acting and filmmaking has been with him since childhood. He was fascinated by the production of “The Shallows,” a film his father was involved in, which took place on a small island off the coast of Australia.
Seeing the gigantic props, makeup trailers, and hardworking cast and crew on set ignited a spark within Ethan. He began talking to cast and crew, discussing why they loved the film industry, and understanding the roles and equipment on set.
It was the green screen water tank that captivated him the most. Watching actors and stuntmen and women work in making a world believable made him realize that he wanted to do nothing more than that.
Ethan’s unique qualities
Ethan’s passion for acting and filmmaking is not just limited to acting. He also works within the industry from a crew angle, having been a part of many incredible productions.
Additionally, he creates his own visions, writes his own stories, and recently won a film festival with his latest short film. Ethan believes that his diverse range of experiences, coupled with his passion for the craft, make him unique in the industry.
Overcoming the biggest challenge
One of the biggest challenges Ethan has faced is finding the balance between school and work. He knew from the start that rejection is a learning experience, and he takes it as an opportunity to improve himself. However, the balance between school and work has been tough for him.
Working on set last year meant there was a risk that he may not graduate due to his attendance record. So, he made a rule that he would only take time off school for leading role projects, but he admits that he sneaks off to do all of them anyway.
Ethan’s passion and drive for the craft of acting and filmmaking have brought him this far, and he has big dreams for the future.
If he had to pick three people that could take his career to the next level, he would choose Jake Gyllenhaal, David Fincher, and the late Heath Ledger. He hopes to continue to create and act in powerful stories that inspire and captivate audiences.
